SHOPPING IN NOTTINGHAM

SHOPPING IN NOTTINGHAM

Nottingham is recognised as one of the UK's top three shopping centres, with 1330 outlets to choose from, from Nottingham's very own Paul Smith, to all the high street favourites.
We've got five major department stores, four covered shopping centres, as well as an incredible array of unique niche retailers and top fashion names - drawing over two million regular shoppers!
Shoppers love Nottingham because it's compact and easy to get around, making it a great place to visit throughout the year. In summer, take a break at one of our pavement cafes. In winter, the covered malls will keep you warm and dry! Whether you shop till you drop or browse and soak up the atmosphere, shopping is always a pleasure in Nottingham.

Old Market Square
At the heart of the city and the very centre of the shops is this impressive square, one of the biggest in the country. Dominated by the Council House, high street stores line its periphery. Old Market Square is home to a number of traditional seasonal markets during the year.

Shopping Centres
Nottingham has four covered shopping centres. The two largest are the award winning Victoria Centre with over 150 shops and, across the city, the Broadmarsh Centre with around 80 shops, offering everything from fashion and furniture to cookies and computers.
In the centre of the city is the elegant Flying Horse Walk, once a famous hotel, and on the edge of Old Market Square, the beautiful Exchange Arcade. Both offer a range of high-class fashion, accessories, furniture, art and gifts.

Bridlesmith Gate
If it's fashion you're after - Nottingham is the place to shop. Fashion retailers can be found throughout the city but the Bridlesmith Gate area is a real oasis of style. International fashion designer, Paul Smith, opened his very first shop there on Byard Lane. His shop has now been joined by many more such as Hobbs and Ted Baker making the area a haven for designer shopping.

Hockley
If you are after something different, a trip to Hockley, is a must. Nottingham's unique alternative shopping area in the Lace Market cultural quarter offers an exciting range of individual, 'older style' and 'into the next century' ranges in fashion, gifts, household and leisure goods.

Derby Road
Renowned for antiques and curios, Derby Road is also enjoying a renaissance of specialist shops offering furniture, art galleries and gifts.
